Visual Development - From Virtual to Reality
Visual development is the process of exploring, testing and communicating ideas through visualisation before they are built. It plays a critical role in exhibition design, immersive environments and spatial projects, helping teams understand scale, narrative flow and audience experience early in the process.
Parachute Studios has its roots in exhibition design, with many years of experience working across museums, galleries, live events and public spaces. Visual development has been a core part of our practice from the beginning, supporting designers, producers and institutions in shaping complex spatial ideas.
We produce visual development work including concept visuals, spatial layouts, mood imagery, 3D visualisation, walkthroughs and animated sequences. These are used to support creative development, stakeholder communication, funding applications and technical planning.
With well over 2,000 visualisation and visual development projects completed, our work is informed by a deep understanding of real-world exhibition delivery. This experience allows us to create visuals that are not only expressive, but grounded in practical considerations of space, audience movement and build.
